The Ocala Mountain Bike Association is responsible for the first Santos trails roughly 40 minutes from Gainesville south on 441. The trails are part of the State of florida's Cross Florida Greenway property. Now the trails include the Santos and Vortex trail system which connect to the Greenway system that traverses the state. Including the trails west of the I-75 landbridge (that grassy overpass south of Ocala) there are over 50 miles of trails. Much singletrack riding in the Santos system and a freeride/obstacle course in the Vortex side of the park.
